From Kansas to Arizona: How I Fell in Love With the Desert

Before I became a Phoenix photographer, I was a Kansas girl through and through.
Big skies. Long drives. Lightning storms.
Sunsets that painted the whole horizon.

When I moved to Arizona, I didn’t know the desert would become such a grounding place for me. I honestly thought I’d miss the green.

But the desert?
It surprised me.

The way the mountains fade into layers at sunset.
